A 6x12 measures 6.3 ft tall by 12.6 ft wide — 79.4 sq ft of display per side, from a 6 × 12 grid of 12.6″ modules. It carries about 4 lines of comfortable text at roughly 14-inch character height.
At that character height the message reads clearly from about 420 feet, using the rule of roughly 30 feet of readable distance per inch of character. Measure from the road to where the sign will stand, and check that number against your speed limit before you commit to a size.
Common buyers at this size: dealerships, hotels, shopping centers and entertainment venues. Compare it against the nearby sizes below — a foot in either direction moves the price more than most people expect.

Pitch is how tightly the LEDs are packed. On a face this size it changes how smooth the edges of letters and logos look up close — not what you can put on the sign.
